Mine Dastan

Ph.D. Candidate | Research Member of VR3 Group

Mine Dastan is a Ph.D. student at the Polytechnic University of Bari. She received her M.S. degree with honors in Industrial Design on 18.12.2020 from the Polytechnic University of Bari. She has a multidisciplinary background in architecture and industrial design.

Her current research interests focus on human performance, natural user interaction, human-computer interaction, and augmented & virtual reality experience design in the medical domain. She is committed to a user-centered design approach, ensuring that her research is driven by a deep understanding of human perceptual, cognitive, and motor abilities and limitations. She has significant experience in prototyping VR/AR systems, including modeling scenarios using Unity 3D or similar software, creating storyboards and personas, and developing applications and user experiences using Oculus Quest2 and Hololens2.
