Enricoandrea Laviola

Ph.D. | Research fellow | Member of IMRLAB

Enricoandrea Laviola received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy, in 2018 and 2020, respectively. He completed his Ph.D. in 2023 and is currently a post-doctoral research fellow at the Department of Mechanics, Mathematics, and Management at the same university.

His primary research focuses on developing industrial Augmented Reality interfaces, bridging the gap between laboratory studies and real-world applications. His work includes the study, development, and validation of guidelines for next-generation industrial AR technical documentation.

His research interests include:

  • Virtual and Augmented Reality
  • User interface design and visualization challenges in industrial applications
  • Human-computer interaction
  • CAD modeling
  • User-centered design and evaluation

Additionally, he has extensive experience in Android development and working with head-worn displays, including the Microsoft HoloLens 2 and HTC Vive.
