Antonio Boccaccio

Antonio Boccaccio is Associate Professor at the Polytechnic University of Bari. He received his M.S. degree with honors in Mechanical Engineering on 11-06-2002 from Polytechnic University of Bari and Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering on 18-05-2006 from the Polytechnic University of Milan. Dr. Boccaccio’s research interests are: morphological optimization of biomaterials, optics, modeling and simulation of biomedical devices and mechanobiological processes. He authored more than 100 publications (62 peer-reviewed ISI journal papers, 2 national journal paper, 10 book chapters, 2 invited lecture, 49 conference papers). In 2012, he has been awarded with the Fylde Electronics Prize for the best paper published in 2010 in the Strain journal by the British Society for Strain Measurement.
