Vito De Giglio is a PhD student at the Polytechnic University of Bari. Hereceived his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering on 11/11/2019 and M.S. degree (with honors) in Mechanical Engineering on 22/02/2022 both from Polytechnic University of Bari. From January 2023 he is a PhD student.
His research topic is titled: “ Operator’s Digital Twin in order to optimizing the Human Performance Envelope (HPE) in the Industry 5.0 scenario”. This topic wants to analyze the well-being of the industrial operators by creating a system that, thanks to the Human Digital Twin, could provide a real-time quantitative estimation of the psycho-physical state of the operator itself. This activity uses innovative technologies based on the collection and analysis of physiological signals, and semiautomated ergonomic assessment systems. Moreover, this research will study the impact that industrial Augmented Reality and industrial Virtual Reality technologies (e.g., HTC Vive, Oculus Quest, Hololens) have on the industrial operator in terms of improved mental and physical state and attitude to use, in order to improve productivity. He has experience in CAD modelling and 3D printing.
